Integrated Garage Door Opener...

If you are wearing an Apple watch, install a HomeKit controlled garage door opener that works off your WiFi. Once set up, all you have to do is say ”Open Garage” while sitting on your running bike.

I'm sure something similar exists for Android watches.
I don't know about Android watches, but I can open my garage door with google assistant and my Sena helmet communications system. However, I prefer the small opener in a jacket pocket method. Simpler is usually better. Mine goes into the right sleeve pocket of my Aerostich R-3 or Darien jacket. I put some velcro in there and some on the opener, so it stays put and I will know exactly where it will be when needed.

If you're willing to install a smart opener in your garage and have an ability to use geofencing on your phone, you can use IFTTT to open your garage door as you roll up, without having to do a thing.

I set this up so when my wife walked up to the front door of our house, it "recognized" her and unlocked the front door and turned the lights in the house on.

Just a thought if you're looking for something that just works.

That looks great: until the smoke escapes. :)

Nah. A friend has one and it's like magic. But you do have to be comfortable with home automation stuff.
I use SmartThings/IFTTT for home automation and the Genie Alladin system integrates with it real nice. Can use our phones to open/close garage doors from anywhere.

Years ago I tied an opener into the "flash-to-pass" switch on my SV650. If you just want to have a separate switch, you'd have to add the switch on the bars somewhere.

Links here and here. You will need to "destroy" the garage opener for this method...

I just keep an opener in the left front pocket of my Aerostich. Approach the door. Pull clutch with my left hand, press opener button with my right hand and ride into the open garage. With matching lift mechanisms in the attached garage and the shop building I got four remotes. One in the car, one in the truck, one in the camper van, and one in my Stich pocket. Each opener will operate up to three doors so I have the garage, the shop, and our daughter's garage in Iowa programmed into them all. This is my version of rocket surgery. I have no need to do anything otherwise.
