Hjc is16

Always hard to tell with pictures.....I would need to try one on to give an opinion. As a general rule, HJC helmets seem to fit me fairly well although not as good as a Nolan.

It's what I'm wearing now, much more comfortable than the Shoei hornet I was wearing. Maybe a bit noisier!:thumb

Hjc changed sizes?

Been wearing HJC for years, xl fit perfectly.
Ordered an new SY max xl and it is just too tight.

Just bought an open face flip shield with sun visor in xxl and it fits well.

Don't assume that if you order a new one the same size as you are used to it
will fit. I paid a little more and bought from a dealer to be sure i got the correct size this time.

ps
anyone interested in a black xl symax?

I wore an HJC until 2005; I forget which model. Pro: Good design, fit well, easy to like. Con: It really started coming apart after a couple of years.

Had a HJC CL-14 for a number of years, had to replace the shield ratchet holder 3 times due to my constant changeing from clear to tinted shields but liked the helmet overall. Went to a Sy-max II for the easy on off with glasses but it us WAY too noisey. I bought differant cheek pads to try better fitment, but no improvement. HJC customer service didn't help, suggested a modular helmet may not be for me..........I tried on an IS-16, like the features, and have my size on order but don't have it yet. Compared to the FS-10, which is also full face with the built in sun visor, the shape is differant (seems to fit my head better) plus seems to have better venting. Unfortuneatly, I won't have it in time for the International Rally, as I work very part time for a dealer who didn't have my size in stock, so to get my discount I will have to wait.

All that and I guess I'm no help at all....................................

I just got my first bike about 6 weeks ago and grabbed the open face version - IS-16. It's a very nice helmet. The drop down sunshield is very handy. I think it fits true to size. My head is exactly 59cm which corresponds to a Large on their size charts. I bought the large and it fits great.

However a LOT of wind comes up under the shield. At 60mph+ it feels like you are being lifted right up off the bike. I really noticed this after I switched to a full face. The difference is startling.

I bought the helmet as a bit of an impulse purchase when I got my bike, but I have since bought a Shoei full face and I plan to wear that full time. I haven't decided yet what to do with the IS-33. However, for those who like a 3/4 helmet it is a very nice one.
