Help re spark plug wire/part # or after market recommendation?

Hi all,

I'm just new to MOA - maybe two months in - and enjoying it so far!

I have a 1996 R1100RT, and need to change out the spark plug wires (maybe a coil, hope not...)

It is idling rough, the left side plug was quite fouled, while the right side was clean. My mechanic suggested replacing the spark plug lead only at first to see if it clears the problem. Runs ok at speed, but occasionally a 'hiccup' pulling away from a dead start.

Can any of you suggest either the BMW part #, or a quality aftermarket part, such as Dynatek or Accel? (or, I'm pretty open...)

Many thanks to all.

Michael

Sparkplug wires

Check with Euromotoelectrics- see the headings “Coils” and Sparkplug Wires” on this page:
https://www.euromotoelectrics.com/category-s/1621.htm

You may want to first go to https://www.realoem.com/ and punch in the last 7 digits of your VIN, then look up the BMW part numbers for the items you need so you can cross-reference on the Euromotoelectrics site. And pay no attention to the prices listed on RealOEM- they are never accurate or updated.

Best,

Hi DeVern, thanks! I will check that site out, I really appreciate the tip.
