Thanks Phil... The 63 is just the year I was born but my Grandmother reminded me every year that I can remember about JFK... =) I bought a 2012 1600 GTL at Morton's a few years back at a steal and kick myself for selling it! Once I am familiar with this ride I hope to get out there and pound the pavement! I am retired but my wife is not. I also was Air Force and retired from Richmond, VA Air Nat'l Guard back in 2006... My how the years fly bye. Be safe!Greetings dalfin63, from some distant, loyal Morton’s BMW customers!
Hope your newest Motorrad Machine is Everything U eXpect it to be!
I procured my gently used K1600 from Ed at Morton’s in F’burg late in December of 2018 {it was a ’14 model I needed to tow our gently used TimeOut Camper acquired from a NVA BMWBMW freund}! That said, U need to go check-off some items on Your Bucket List! Here’s hoping you’ve got plans to wander your own planet this summer [it's scheduled to arrive in a mere three weeks]! Here’s hoping your newest Beemer will lead U into an eXciting retirement eXpedition.
We’re prepping for the MOA National Rally which is just up the street almost {when compared to the Long Ride we endured to/fr Redmond, Oregon last June].
Stay vertical on your splendid Beemer [and come back to the Forum to boast of all the places you’ve visited]... Don’t know the significance of “63” pour vous, but pour moi it’s when JFK and my mother passed... So get out there on your splendid Sport Touring Machine and figure out what you’re trying to accomplish.. The goals are many; the years are much less determined!
Ciao from the scenic Tennessee River Valley!

Hi Ed... Probably met you at some point over the years! I just checked out the Rally as I didn't know about it! I will definitely plan on attending next year for the 51st gathering!Welcome Dalfin63, I am Ed, recently retired from Morton's. Enjoy that bike. Whenever a 1300S came in on trade I always made it a point to take it for a ride. Any plans to attend the Square Root Rally next weekend?
