Hard starting in the morning?

Like 61242 says, check the simple - and important - things first.

Also make sure the computer & fuel pump have had that moment to fully initialize before pushing the button.

Some oilheads have exhibited a characteristic where the first push of the button sometimes does not fire the bike, it just turns over; after a short pause, the second push fires it right up. Is this what yours does? Some attribute this to the computer re-reading the positions of the sensors on the trigger plate - one is for ignition and the other is for fuel.

Assuming a properly tuned machine.
An aging/weak battery will cause that. Especially on the dual spark model oilheads.
