My friend and I both had our bikes fall over in a parking lot and scratched the paint. His is as blue 2007 R1200RT and mine is a Mojave Brown 2003 R1200CLC. We both took our damaged parts to different local body shops to have them repainted. The computer didn't show either of the colors or paint codes under BMW motorcycles. The computer only showed 57 different colors for BMW motorcycles. After some investigation (thanks to a body shop in Asheville, NC), we discovered that the bikes are painted with a BMW car color. We put the codes in the computer under BMW cars and the colors popped up and they even had the same name. The car paint was a perfect match for both of them. 2003 was the first year the Mojave Brown was used on a motorcycle but it was used on cars in 1994-1997. With the computerized paint mixing system many body shops have, they can mix the paint down to one tenth of a pint (but my brother only goes down to two tenths to make sure his mixing is accurate). With the basecoat/clearcoat systems, you could paint a complete bike with two or three tenths of a pint of paint.
I thought this little tidbit might be helpful to others looking for the proper paint for their bike.
