They are leaking and time to rebuild them.Would anyone know where I can get seals(or o-rings) used between the halfs of the caliper?BMW provides only pistons and the seals for the pistons.
They are BREMBO not TOKICO ones.

Thanks.
Sonny

Thanks kbasa, but that’s exactly what BMW offers.
The kit doesn’t include 2 small seals (o-rings) used between two half’s of the caliper when they are separated.

This because separating the caliper halves is forbidden and an official dealership mechanic would never do that.

With all due respect lkchris, forbidden????why??there are just four bolts not rivets?

Because the high priests of the blue and white have decreed it so, barring any such disassembly by anyone, even by the techno-princes in the sanctum sanctorum hidden behind the official gray edifice. Doing so will cause the offender to be torched by the Eye of Sauron…or Sauron’s lawyer.

But rumor has it that some in the kingdom have done such disassembly and discovered woe at the end result, said woe caused by a slight upwelling of the sacred metal surrounding the bolt holes and causing the two halves to fail in rejoining, and allowing their lifeblood to weep upon the ground. Yet, others have found success in the rejoining after first resurfacing the sacred metal to true, some even doing so by hand using abrasive cloths adhered to The One True Plate.

But, those few are always looking over their shoulder. And wearing sunglasses…

Smiling and with tongue firmly in cheek,
DeVern
