Factory BMW Nav V/VI Mount ?s

So my 2014 GS came equipped with the mount, etc. for the BMW Navigator. After nearly six years of occasionally noting a GPS would be handy, I've gotten serious.
The other day I decided to take a close look at the mount. Trying to figure out how it opens I realized it did not have the lock installed. Hence no opening it.
Now I would have thought if the bike comes equipped with the mount, the mount would have have included the lock.
It appears from the part number that the lock is the same used on the Vario and other BMW cases. I have a spare one keyed for my bike. I can not find anything on-Line that shows how to properly install it. I don't want to go on intuition and screw it up. Detailed instructions would be appreciated.

And for my second question, I know I read once there is a comparable Garmin Zumo that plugs into the mount, but you lose Wonder Wheel capability. For several hundred bucks I could live with that. Anyone know for certain which Garmin?

Zumo 660.
Also watch for a used Nav V. You can probably find one for $300.

A Garmin zumo 660/665 would work with the connector. I'm not sure if the GS lockable mount would work. IIRC these came out in 2009 and were discontinued in 2013. The preferred version would be the 660LM with lifetime maps. The 660 has the older screen interface, will work with Basecamp and will still get you there.

IMHO like Lee said, you would be better off looking for a good used Nav V.

Once you have a Nav V with wonderwheel functionality, you won't want anything else! Nav Vs are readily available, you just need to search for one. Prices run between $300 and $400.
