Good Observation:

I picture another needed article and that is, what is needed in a good first aid kit?. The life you save may be your own!

If anyone wants to start contributions for a good first aid kit Touring Tips will start collecting them and setting them aside until enough material collects to put together an article. Maybe this distinguished colleague could put it together or offer some thoughts.

After many trips from New Orleans to Big Bend, TX and points West and North:

Sunglasses
Rubber gloves
MP3 player (w/spare batteries)
Allan wrenches
Tire pressure gage
Chapstick
Maps
AAA handbook of Texas, NM, Arizona
Gum
Lighter and smokes
Mini maglight
Chemical lightsticks (when the mag light doesn't)
Fleece cloth (for cleaning windshield and face shield, can of plastic cleaner is in top box)
insurance card (so they know who to bill)
contact info card (so they know where to send the body)
motrin
Tums (for those truck stop lunches)
wad of TP/baby wipes (for those truck stop lunches)
Pad of paper
3 ballpoint pens (two are sure not to work)
wallet/money clip/credit cards
handgun and clip
