Not to compare ze Deutche with Duc, but if they can put their best foot forward for less than 15K???
 
would i buy one over a R1200S (or a K1200S for that matter)............umm........not completely sure.

a friend of mine has one pre-ordered, i can't wait to see it.
 
Just for funsies, if we were to compare it to the BMW 'S' (K or R) take a look at the nasty power to weight ratio. 160hp, sub 400lbs.

This isn't the Japanese producing a throw away Gixxer either. Ducati owners have a loyalty factor that is akin to Beemer.

The 1098 is 15K and an HP2 is 20K?? They probably could be getting 17-18K for the 1098 and more than that for the 1098S.
