Do I lube my spline?

UPDATE--I had the clutch splines lubed 3 days ago and havent't started the bike since driving it home 60 miles from the shop. Today I see there is a slight leak of fluid under the reansmission--not a lot--maybe a very few ounces, but it has never driped a single drop in the past.

should I try to tighten all the bolts I can see in that area or return it to the shop if it continues? I cleamed it up si I can see if it contimues.

Not happy.

I would clean off the trans area top and bottom with some cleaner and then watch for a leak. The fluid you see is probably from your service shop cleaning the spline and other items when they had the trans pulled back.If you still have a leak after that, then check the 13mm bolt holding the airbox bottom to the top of the trans.Thats for the rectangular type airbox. The threads should be coated with #2 Permatex sealant to keep trans fluid from leaking out.

GTK--Thanks much! I have the sealant and will give that a shot. I'll repoertr back---I certainly don't want to make another 120 mile trip to get the leak fixed if I can do it myself.

Oh--a new neutral switch was installed too so I'll look at that too as the source of the leak.

I cleaned the garage floor last evening where it was leaking and now 18 hours later I see 4-5 drops under the tranny---on the left side on the bike.

Hi, All,
The latest recommendations I've seen (from Paul Glaves and Matt Parkhouse) are Guard Dog Moly 525 (25% moly) or to mix the Honda Moly 60 Paste 50/50 with Wurth Sig 3000 grease. In both cases you get sufficient Moly for the job and the grease is sticky enough to not all be slung off.
