Not correct--all USA 1000 models had the same engine in the same year beginning in 1979.
Here's the R100RT specs: http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/specpages/R100RT.htm which claims:

Here's my bike specs: http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/specpages/R100.htm which claims:

Max Torque 72 Nm / 53.09 ft lb at 5,500 rpm
Compression Ratio 8.2 : 1
Rear Wheel Ratio 1 : 3.00
Bevel/Crownwheel 11 / 33 teeth / US 11/32 as R100/T

Not sure if the specs are for US or non-US models as they don't specify on the HP specs, except on the Bevel/Crownwheel. Could be that it was just easier to level the playing field, make them all the same for the bikes destined for the US market and that these numbers are for the euro and other non-US markets but that seems like a weird mod to manufacturing. Then again, these specs could be bullbutter too. I dunno.
Anyway, that where I read about the HP delta. Its more of an idle curiosity than anything else--the number differences are marginal in my opinion.
