Corbin, Gunfighter seat?

Was wondering if anybody had any feedback about the Corbin
Gunfighter seat for a SWB R75/5?
Love it? Hate it? Wanna marry it?

More importantly, do you tour on it?

Inquiring minds!

Thanks!

I don't have one on a Commando, but have them on my Norton Commando and Triumph Bonneville and love them. For my new (to me) RT, I ordered a Corbin dual tour, which has not yet arrived.

I meant, I don't have one on a BMW (as I guess is obvious)

I have one on my 86 r80rs (or should say had, it now has a sidecar astride it for a while) The seat sits very low, lower than stock, I'm 6'1 so it's a tight...but looks great on mine. The rear section can be used for a passenger if your in a pinch. Overall I'm not a big fan of Corbin's fit, they could spend a bit more time on that part. Otherwise I like the seat, not a lot of off the shelf choices anymore.

Gunfighter

I had one on my old K75, I sold the bike a few years ago. I really liked it.

I am surprised that there is not more feedback to this question specific to the /5 or even /6 Gunfighter. Jacqui, have any of your Ton-Up friends got experience / opinions on this seat? The reason that I am asking is that this is the one that my son wants to put on the R75/6 project and I am curious to if it is just all looks or will it go all day or ...
Let me know what you find out, will ya Jacqui? before I shell out the $350...

i have one on my /7 it's very comfortable. build quality is typical corbin. see my 'moar kafe krap' thread for pix

I have had Corbin's on my R100RS, K75S and now on my R80G/S.... personally I HATE them.

I don't like the dished portion of the seat, and found that if I was riding for hours at a time, this dish severely limited how much you can change position to get comfortable... and typically became very uncomfortable. This was mostly for rides over 2 hours, and happened on the R100RS and K75S.

I was on a 2-month ride around the US on my R100RS, and the lack of foam on the seat edges just above the sidecovers made it really painful to ride beyond 2 hours, essentially cutting off the blood to my legs.... just my opinion tho.

The G/S corbin is now on its way south and was traded for a stock dual seat.

Thanks for that input. What you are saying would confirm my suspicions of anything that wants me to sit in one spot only. I like to move around as needed for comfort and don't want to be told to sit still. So, it might be cool for a profiler but not for taking a real ride.

oooo... I said "profile". Does anybody use that term any more? That used to mean cruising around to show off your ride or check other bike's profiles. I haven't heard that or used that term since my CB750K was new!!

it's a damn shame that after 4 corbins and a few hundred thousand miles I'm a "profiler"

here we go again :rolleyes

Long distance long term profiling?

Used to refer to cruising on Beach Blvd., not everyfrickinwhere you go!
