Photo of the ceramic coated (inside and out) head pipe on my pristine low mileage '93 R1100RSL. Reason for coating is to try and reduce chance of heat damage to the painted lower area on the side panels.

Coating was done by Finish Line Ceramic Coatings of Portland, Oregon phone#: (503)659-4278. Finish Line Coatings approved posting of contact information. They do good work for a reasonable price.

Solid idea for keeping those plastics pristine. My RT has plenty of heat damage on its plastics, too, and with my budget I'll probably be using foil tape on them to stave off further damage.

It only cost about $130 for the coating. They charge $30 per foot of surface to be coated. This includes everything including bead blasting and other prep.
