Can anyone read these Chinese/Japanese characters?

I'm doing some scanning of old family material and ran across this. The relative thought this was a sales receipt. I've tried some google image searches but I think that's a lost cause. I can't even tell if I have it right-side up!!

Yeah, I got the same thing in one orientation. But not sure that made much sense!! It was from my great grandmother around 1963 for something she may have bought in a town NW of Boston.
 
I wonder if it's a receipt for some iced tea. And google's poor capabilities returns "special brown sugar meal".

I have determined that one of the characters is indeed "Special".

I decided to go to a few Chinese restaurants...and not Panda Express!! Anyway, I think that more than likely, the handwritten characters read "Brown [or black] Sugar Mochi". Looks like it's a sweet cakey dessert.

Now back to your regularly scheduled membership discussion!!
 
It's a sweet rice cake, just put "mochi" into the Google search engine.

And munchies have their place with motorcycles...:eat
