BMW NA Mileage Recognition

I am wondering if the BMW mileage recognition program is still being administered by Mission Awards? Someone else?

I had a mileage form sent to Mission Awards 3 months ago and nothing has been sent to my local dealer. Two weeks ago and then one week ago I emailed them and have received no response.

BMW MOA on the other hand was amazingly fast in responding to my high mileage form and has been very responsive.

I know some don't like the mileage awards thing. I ride because I like it (love it) and it is important to me. The mileage recognition is just a nice conversation starter. Like the other day, when I went to the dealer for the annual state inspection. Tech was reading off the odometer, and started calling out "twenty-eight thousand", and I called back to him, "read it again, it's two hundred eighty". Conversation started...

Interesting, I always thought the BMW mileage awards were submitted by a dealership, not requested by the individual. Ben Stratton at Max BMW did my 300K award last November and surprisingly BMW shipped the award to me directly and not to Max to have someone sign the certificate from the dealership. LOL, I told a ride to Troy NY store and Ben was kind enough to sign it for me. It did take a few months to get to me. St.

Mileage award information from the main website:

Yeah, I took the form to the dealer to have them approve everything. In the past, the BMW NA award was sent to the dealer. Three months is the latest I’ve ever waited for it to arrive (at the dealer) and the lack of response from my email is a concern. My dealer has never shown much interest in the program. Last time, when I finally got tired of waiting and asked if anything arrived for me, they handed over the envelope. No signature on the form, no acknowledgment at all.

All of ours have been submitted by the dealer to BMW Motorrad NA. I didn't know it was possible for a individual to submit it.

You need to find a kinder dealer.

A BMW dealership that won't make the small effort to submit a form to BMW for a milage award does not deserve to be in business as far as I am concerned. Talk about petty nonsense! That is a worse affront to a customer then telling them "we won't work on your bike because it is more than ten years old". At lest, that argument makes some sense. St.

I have submitted all my mileage forms to the same salesman. Sometimes I have gotten the certificate and medalloins in as little as two and one half months. Other times six months. I gave my salesman the proper documentation in February for my next certificate and still don't have it.
I am being patient .As far as I know no other motorcycle manufacturer even offers any recognition for accumulated miles on their brands. BMW has cheapened their awards though. We used to get 2 detailed medallions, Now we get a small thin etched one and a big one also with less detail. And instead of getting a certificate that recognizes 1.1 or 1.2 million miles you just get another 1 million miles medallion and certificate. I am proud to have ridden BMW's for 43 years and the miles I have put on them and proudly display them on the back of my panniers for people in cars to see.
I haven't gotten my certificate or patch from the MOA yet either. But I am even more patient with them as I know it gets to me through the efforts of MOA volunteers
