BMW Heated Seat Connectors

I have a stock 2022-23 BMW Motorrad Heated seat that i'd like to retro fit to an earlier model that does not have the harness and connectors for electric seats. I know how to make an adapted assembly with a relay tripped by switched power to fire up the seat BUT I want to keep the 2 stock connectors on the electric seat and use them on my fabricated wiring. I checked the numbers printed on these small connectors and I can do the rabbit hunt to locate a pair of them so I can use hem in fabricated retro-fit adapter kit. Has anyone done this? Anyone identified these connectors and sourced them???

I haven't found a BMW sub harness that is used on the bikes with heated seats.

Question for you. Im adding a heated seat to my 05' R1250ST. I can configure a relay off switched power to get 12v to the seat but shouldn't that power be regulated by a thermostat or a 3 step resistor for L M H or can I supply a constant 12v via the relay without the seat element overheating?
 
No regulation would probably burn your butt; I've never seen a thermostat used for this, as most controllers use pulse width (the "on" time of an off/on cycle) to control the heating elements. A fixed resistor or two is another viable way to go; it wouldn't need much resistance (perhaps 1/4 and 1/2 of the seat's resistance) to accomplish.
Resistors would prob'ly be "select in test" with actual use, and they'd have to be of a high-enough wattage to safely dissipate the heat of the wasted current. Also make sure that the wiring, and its insulation, is heavy enough to handle the current.
 
I guess that for a project like this I would call one of the heating clothing suppliers and ask if one of their controllers would work for this.
I have no doubt they would work butt it would be good to get their input.

I'm pretty sure that PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is the way to go here. You can buy a controller from someone like Sargent (Sargent) or, if you are handy, you can check out suitable PWM controllers on Amazon. The Sargent controller's specs say, "1.7 amps (or 23 watts @ 13.5 volts), and dual zone installations will draw approximately 3.4 amps (or 46 watts @13.5 volts) at full power." So, (assuming your seat is a "single zone" seat) I'd be looking for a PWM controller good for up to 15V or 24V and 25 watts (~3 Amps) or more. Something like PWM Controller (which is probably overkill) or Another PWM Controller . The Amazon route could save you money, but you need to figure out how to mount the controller someplace you can reach and in a manner which is waterproof - while the Sargent option is more expensive, but already waterproof and mountable.
 
I use Heat Troller for a controller on my heated liner. You can go blue tooth. Bury the receiver under the seat. It's small and puts it where it's needed. I have the transmitter mounted on my dummy tank cover to the left of the filler using 3m waterproof Velcro.
 
I believe most of the connectors used on modern BMW's are TE connectivity (amphenol) As an example, here is a page from the site when I was researching the navigation cradle connector for a Chigee install: https://www.te.com/en/product-1-1703498-1.html it takes a bit of looking, but you will start to see the pattern used for the different formats of the connectors. you will need wire seals and pins as well.
