Five brave souls from the Black Hills BMW Riders gathered at Common Grounds, Spearfish SD for coffee this morning.
KSU at 1100 for a ride through the Bear Lodge to view Devils Tower and some of the weather-related issues from last week's storms.
3 GSs, 1 Triumph Tiger, and a Honda Transalp made the trek.

Route below. 150 miles(+/-) a good portion of which was gravel in the Bear Lodge Mountains.

No Interstates were touched on this journey, all frontage roads, etc!

That’s a good loop. No mention of the Aladdin store though. Is it even still there?

Years ago I met some unfortunate individual near Sundance on his way to Gillette riding mostly gravel, but the driveshaft on his 100GS had failed. Not a good place to be stranded but he was traveling with a friend and they had a plan.

Is the Transalp a new or old version? The 650 v-twins were sweet bikes but their plastic was a bit fragile.

Aladdin store still there and open for business. Quite busy during the annual Sturgis cluster #√€£!

TRANSALP is a brand new one. Pretty sweet for what we did, it is no dual sport though.
