Have been riding from VA to Daytona for Bike Week for a few years. This year, we are going to take a pass on Daytona in March for Panama City Bike Week in April. We will leave the Virginia coast and make the ride via Nashville, the Natchez Trace, and Baton Rouge. We will make it about a twelve or thirteen day trip.

The Natchez Trace is beautiful, just be sure you watch your speed! Most of the NT Troopers are very nice but they patrol it closely. Posted speed limit is 50mph. Have a good trip.:)

I think you're right about the NT Park rangers. I was riding on the trace with a couple of guys several years ago and we met a ranger coming from the other direction. We weren't going super speeder fast, but going around 60, which was 10 over the posted limit. He didn't turn around to stop us, just flashed his lights at us a couple of times which we took as a warning to slow down. We did slow down of course and were a lot more cautious with our speed afterwards.
