battery cover source for BMW NAV IV ?

after charging my Nav 4, the battery cover walked away and cannot be found. and I haven't found anything on the internet. I've turned the house upside down and the furniture on the ceiling hasn't helped

Oh boy! If this were to happen to me, it would bug me so much that eventually I will fold and buy a brand new one just because.

Garmin does not sell parts, but for a fee they will refurbish yours. Otherwise, Gorilla tape!

Somebody with an old 660, 665, or Nav IV stuffed in a drawer ought to be a hero and volunteer to send a cover to this member. I'll bet there are lots of old, now unused units, out there.
