Anyone with ramps in the Warwick, RI area available on Sunday morning?

Hello all (cross-posting, as I'm not sure of the best spot for this)...

I'm riding from NJ to Warwick RI on Sunday morning to pick up a used truck. I'm wondering if there are any members in that area that may have a set of ramps that I could meet up with to load my GSA into the truck (Sierra 3500 HD) for the ride home? Hoping to ride up with my girlfriend but not have to split up for the drive/ride home. I expect to be in the area around 10:30 am to pick up the truck. From what I recall, it's about 2 miles from the airport. Appreciate any help that may be offered...

Thanks,
Eric

Sounds like a job for the Anonymous Book, friend. :D https://www.bmwmoa.org/page/abook

It's one of the greatest member benefits: an opportunity to help each other. You'll probably find one of the Ocean State BMW Club guys can help. Or one of the Yankee Beemers. But yeah, try the Anonymous Book and I bet you can find some help.

If you don’t have a response, look for a slope, grade change, square stone wall and back up to it….Bring your own 6 footer of 2”x12” plank.
The other way I have moved “things” to a different height is to seek the help of a ramp truck. The RT can elevate to an almost perfect height.
A 3500 HD is a pretty tall truck. Ramp to tailgate would require an unusually long ramp.
Good luck.

Was planning to look for a grade change / stone wall. Can't really do a plank, as I'm riding up. Worst case I ride back and she drives back, but was hoping to be able to drive back together. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thank you. Reached out to a few on the list earlier but haven't heard back so figured I'd post here too.

Many mc dealers have large sturdy ramps near their service doors.
I’m guessing they would allow you the use of their ramp if you asked nicely.

I was thinking that too. Many of the dealerships I looked up are closed on Sunday. I may just try to find a good steep embankment and grab a couple of 2x12's from Lowes...

Look up a local tow company that has a flatbed wrecker. Take the vehicles to their location, ride the bike onto the flatbed wrecker and spin it around 180 degrees. Back the pickup up to the rear of the wrecker, have the wrecker operator tilt the flatbed down till it matches your pickup, and ride the bike aboard.

I had to do something similar once, only in reverse—to unload a disabled sidecar rig from a UHaul and get it safely on the ground. Best $40 I spent on that problem!

Best,
DeVern
