Where is the "Coddiwomple web site"? Is there a link? When will the results be posted?

All,
This is a statement about the current status of the wrap-up of the 2021 Grand Coddiwomple. I hope this answers any questions at this time.

"Unfortunately, due to a host of issues the wrap-up of the 2021 Grand Coddiwomple is taking longer than anyone on the team wanted. The final results will be posted on the Coddiwomple section of the BMW MOA web page “shortly”. This is where you registered: https://www.bmwmoa.org/page/coddiwomple.

I don’t know exactly when due to the holiday disruptions, now with the holidays behind us, I expect very soon. Once those are available, an email will be sent to each participant notifying them of their finishing total points with a link to the full list. “Completion Certificates” with a commemorative pin will be mailed in January. Also in January, there will be a random drawing for 15 small prizes from the pool of finishers, and these will be mailed. That is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 21st: National Squirrel Appreciation Day. This will be confirmed in an email to all participants.

The top three finishers will each receive and engraved plaque. An article has been submitted for the February Owners News which provides an overview wrap up of the 2021 Coddiwomple, and the announcement of opening registration for the 2022 event. In short, everything to finish up the 2021 event should be done by or before the end of January.

My involvement with both the 2021 and upcoming 2022 Coddiwomple shortly after the first of January due to other obligations. All questions should be directed to coddiwomple@bmwmoa.org."

Sounds Reasonable, Greg.

Thanks to the MOA and the many "volunteers" who did their best behind the scenes. Since we're on the BoD of the AlaBeemers, we can appreciate the level of effort that goes into these "interesting & unique" ideas that are meant to invigorate the Peanut Gallery. We did similar "summer contests" with BMWBMW years ago - again, all voluntary supporters running & scoring the contest, in this case before the Christmas Dinner so winners could be announced & prizes could be presented {usually a Bob's BMW Road Crew hat or shirt and an Official BMWBMW Certificate Suitable for Framing}...

Thanks for the update; Happy Touring to all y'all in 2022!

On behalf of the entire crew, thank you, Phil!!

Greg, Many thanks to you and everyone who helped with this project. I had a great deal of fun finding and getting tags (many more than I submitted) and think the Coddiewomple is a great idea. Beginnings are always hard and I am sure the hard work you and others put in will pay off next year and into the future.

I look forward to the 2022 edition! :beer

Best,

Ack

Great ... what HE said !! Thanks so much for setting this up and if your goal was to get folks out riding more to places they've never been... at least for ME mission accomplished. I LOVE the "family feel" of BMW ownership. Happy New Year!

Question ... if we submitted photos for scoring and there were issues with our submissions would they tell us or kick them back? Just wondering as I submitted about 700-1000 points and did not make the 300 point cutoff. Would love to know what I did wrong so I can not make the same mistake next year.

Ed,
You should have been notified about any rejected submissions. I know in some cases we had trouble contacting people, and that many submissions hosted on Google Photos or Instagram were difficult to access. Please send an email to coddiwomple@bmwmoa.org asking about your score and someone will look into it for you. Thanks for bringing this up.
