An update on Ray McKenna

Fellow MOA Members who have attended Northeast events or national rallies likely knew Ray. The news of his passing was in the Owners News last year (can't remember which one) but his death was a result of reckless driving by a 4-wheeled-vehicle.

Here is the local news report from last year: https://www.berkshireeagle.com/arch...cle_3ee7374b-dc47-512a-8714-8714667b62ab.html

CHESHIRE — A New York state man has died after being seriously hurt when his motorcycle was struck by car earlier this month at the north end of Cheshire Reservoir.

State police have identified the victim as 73-year-old Raymond McKenna from Troy, who recently succumbed to his injuries at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, McKenna was thrown from his bike near 123 Lanesborough Road after being hit by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 34-year-old Pittsfield woman, according to state police.

McKenna was taken to Berkshire Medical Center and later transferred to Baystate.

Troopers have yet to identify the Pittsfield woman was operating the Sonata.

She was initially issued a citation, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The local New England clubs held a memorial service for Ray and select members were given the honor of taking his ashes to areas they've ridden with him.

The trial took place the end of October this year and I'm attaching a screenshot from notes captured at the trial by a member of the Yankee Beemers:

Ray is dearly missed by all of his friends around the world. While legally this issue is now closed and a sentencing performed, all of us feel Ray's absence at every event. The recent green mountain rally was tough for many of us who know of Ray as our dinner line security officer. He was a great friend to many.
