Please help a newbie with a rather puzzling problem.
Recently my ABS lights started flashing on my 1997 R1100GS.
I connected a LED to the dianostics lead and it read three dips indicating a fault with the front sensor (this would make sence as I recently overhauled the caliper and changed the front tyre).
I then checked the abs sensor gap which was a little to wide I set it correctly and reset the abs. When I test rode the bike the ABS lights came on again after a mile or so.
I then checked the integrity of the front sensor. It had the correct resisitance of 140 ohms between the pins. And both pins were open to ground.
So anybody any ideas?? Is it the front sensor can it fail and still read correctly??
Thanks
Leland
