ABS dead after bleeping from 1150GS modulator

2001 R1150GS, not servo model.

After bleeding from ABS module under the tank and later from calipers, my ABS has ceased to exist.
No ABS lights when ignition turned on but relay seems to clicking normally. All fuses intact.
No ABS engaging when slamming on brakes.
Tried ABS reset procedure. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting battery.
Replaced ABS relay. Nothing. Saw some rubber crud while bleeding rear caliper.
Replaced rear brake line.
Brakes function but no ABS.
Is not time to shop for a new ABS pump/module?

Suggestions?

Did you unplug the ABS module to do the bleed? If so, check the plug on the ABS module.

No I didn't but I was wrapping some electrical tape around the wiring harnesses near that area to compensate go the disintegrating harness rubber housing.

I just realized there's a relay inside the ABS unit.
In my original post, I was referring to the relay in the fuse box which clicks at regular intervals when ignition is turned on.

Update:

Previous owner had removed the ABS warning lightbulbs.
I replaced them and I get immediate alternate blinking upon turning the ignition key.
The main ABS relay is healthy, I removed it and tested it.
I suppose I need to make a readout light to figure out the fault code.
