85 K100 - replacing corroded fuel cap

Hi folks - I bought a new filler cap on EME to replace my badly corroded original. Pics below of the corroded old version.

Original replacements in good shape are hard to find, so I got this new one.

My question is whether this EME version came with everything it needs? Seems like there's something missing over the locking mechanism, since it's exposed to the fuel below. Or is this as simple as screwing into the tank housing? There are two small threaded holes on opposite sides of the exposed locking mechanism, which makes me feel I need another part.

I see what you are concerned about so I'd check back with EME about this. Even if there was a cover of some kind over the locking mechanism it would have to be sealed to keep out possible liquid fuel and certainly fumes, so I suspect it's OK as is, but I'd ask. It would be great if you could report back what they say, and then again once you've installed this on how satisfactory you found it to be.

Thanks, Greg. I checked with EME...sorry, I should have reported back earlier.
They did confirm that the cap is as designed, as long as you have the ribbed seal around the edge, which is in my snapshot above.
So mine should good-to-go as pictured above. I'll follow up here if I have any adverse experiences with the fuel/fumes fouling up the locking mechanism.

I appreciate the update. I have three classic K-bikes (a K1 and two K75s) but so far their fuel cap assemblies are nice and clean. Still good to know about options.
