Howdy, does anyone know if a seat made for a 86 R80RT will work on an 84 R100RT ? Both bikes have a seal cowl.

Thanks.

We went through this recently on model years...there were very few '85 R100RTs made. Technically, after the '84 model year, the 1000cc bikes didn't come out again until the '87 model year. I tried looking up the part numbers for an '85 R100RT and there isn't a category for that.

Not sure how to proceed with this...

is 1986 R80RT a monoshock and the 1984 R100RT dual shock? you cant swap seats between a monoshock and a dual shock. If they are both dual shock they are interchangeable. I have wondered if you could put a K bike seat on a monoshock 'cause I think that they are the same.

I think it would be best to leave your question and subsequent thread in case others have the same question in the future and find this with a search. That way we all learn something...
