22 1250gs standard height - touratech -20 mm lowering springs

Has anyone here installed the touratech lowering springs on a 1250gs (standard height) with esa? I just finished the install, but I noticed during reassembly that I had to use a higher perch setting to get any tension on the spring. After a quick test ride the preload in the front seemed inadequate and it feels that the front preload is much lower. I know they’re progressive springs, but I think it may be bottoming

For anyone that’s done the install, what front preload setting did you use? Ie: which groove did the retaining clip go into
