Stanley Stomp Update
Looking at the Inciweb site this morning for information about the Wapiti Fire, which was the fire that caused the 2024 cancellation of the rally, the fire, now over 90,000 acres has moved away from the Sawtooth Lodge at Grand Jean (the site of the Stanley Stomp Rally), and is threatening the community of Stanley, ID. The attached photo is of the Sawtooth Lodge, taken yesterday. From the photo, it looks like the lodge and surrounding structures are still intact.

Thanks for that report, Gary!
I’ve been worried about whether or not the lodge survived. I also have friends who own a home not far from Stanley Lake, and last I heard their area had been evacuated, so I’m hoping the best for them as well. I hope the firefighters are able to start getting ahead of the fire.
