Has anyone used the BMW Timing Chain tensioner tool? I tried to use the tool with the specified spacer ring and it appears that the ring is too narrow and the tensioner bottoms on the threads. I'm concerned that I may do some damage to the internal collar if the threads from the tensioner tool seat there. May not be too clear, the spacer appears to be about a 1/4 inch too narrow ? Anyone know if there is a wider spacer ?
