2004 R1150RS rear brake foot lever

Broke my knee a number of years ago in a motorcycle accident. It has long since healed but it has limited motion. The rear brake lever peg is too high and I am looking to lower it so my foot is comfortable over the peg. Now I have to lift my leg up to get my foot on the peg and in doing so, I disrupt the balance of the motorcycle making for some interesting wobbles. Has anyone put an extension from the lever to the foot lever peg lowering the peg down so my foot is always over the peg?
