2001 K1200RS bar risers?

Hello all, hope everybody is surviving the winter, I would like to add bar risers to my K1200 RS does anybody have a recommended make and model. I like the riding position of my bike but have a short upper body compared with my legs and would like to improve my riding position.

Do Not Do It

That is one ergo in particular (as if there is one that won't break things if played with...) that will make all sorts of other problems show up. You won't like the air stream (gotta add an after-market windscreen - as if there are any now) you won't like the bent knees while sitting up (yeah, add peg drops and screw things up even more), you'll mess with steering feel. In short, it'll f**k up the bike. If you must be upright, get a GT, or some other bike. The RS ergos just don't take much fiddling with before you might as well be on a Gold Wing or Harley. :bluduh

You can check to see what your riding position will be with this website.www.cycle-ergo.com
After you select your bike, enter your height and inseam. this will give the lean forward and bends at the hips and knees.
Click on the customize tab. Here you can select rise and pull back to see how it will affect your riding position.
Hopefully it will help to order the parts you want the first time.

Do it

I don't how anyone can claim that adjusting your bike's ergos to fit you is a bad idea. The very fact that BMW makes them adjustable from the factory says they are recognizing that riders come in all shapes and sizes.
I've added barbacks to my K12RS and it did wonders to take weight off my wrists and that kink out of my neck. Yeah, my head is about a half inch higher into the windstream, about as high as it would be if I were actually as tall as I like to think I am:)
The only issues I ran into were making sure that the hoses and cables didn't go tight at full-lock.
Go for it.
