I hope someone can point me to a source to obtain touch up paint (code 691) for my K75RT. - see colorrite.com comment below
The fuel tank had a pin-size hole. The paint bubbled and once removed the dirt + grime was move and after a bit of gentle hand sanding. Divits and pockets were visible ion the surface of the aluminium. After cleaning and preparing the area for epoxy J-weld repair, the area was primed and is now ready for paint. The area for repaint is approx 2"x4" and straddles the seam, meaning underside and LH side of the tank where it meets with the fairing.
The local BMW dealer claims they no longer can get paint as BMW-Munich doesn't ship it due to customs issues.
A fellow BMW-ite suggested colorrite.com; their website offers two colors that might be close ...emphasize...close, namely Orient Blue Metallic 909 and Royal Blue Metallic N41. I'm unable to copy the color swatch into this thread.
I prefer the actual color 691, yet again need a resource as to where to obtain.
