The sad part is that the family will likely sue the police because they “caused” the crash by pursuing him.

Confirmed - the police reps and local newcasts (radio AND TV) all said that they were watching from their helicopter... and they even had the crash live on TV.
 
Well, the rider had every reason to believe the police were chasing him, so they are still liable for his death, right? Is not that the logic used these days?
 
Saw another angle of it on a Twitter feed... riders pants actually came off as he landed.

Make good choices folks. I teach that in my classes.......
 
It was a tragedy for the people in the SUV and the first responder that had to deal with the carnage, but not a tragedy that the thief died due to his outrageous behavior.
