1200 GSA headlight bulb retaining clip

New BMW owner - lost part of the retaining clip and looking for a replacement part. Any ideas where to find this??

Part of the retaining clip? Isn't the clip bail a single piece of wire? It is on my '05 GS. Perhaps they have changed the design.

My wire bail sat in a channel in the plastic housing. The plastic cracked. A wavy washer has held my bail in place for many miles, since. When the other channel breaks I'll make a hinge out of a folded piece of very thin sheet metal to hold the bail in place.

This is an ugly BMW part, poorly designed! Mine too, broke and I fixed it with washer. '07GSA1200 here. I've had no problems since I added a washer under screw, but its on my bucket list of BMW issues to bring up if it fails again. The whole headlight assembly gets replaced on them, as I see it. Randy

Same problem

I had the same problem and was told by dealer the only fix was to order an entire new headlight assembly... I fixed it with Duck-tape... Messy but works
