1200 CLC CD question

I was testing my new CLC's CD player and noted that when the cd started a loud fan noise was heard even with the case cover closed. When I stopped the cd and ejected it the noise stopped until I turned the radio on again. The noise is still thre even in the radio am or fm mode. Any thoughts on whether this is a problem? The radio never made the noise when I tested just the am and fm bands before inserting a cd. I'll bring it back to the dealer when the weather clears, but a phone call to him was no help.
