'07 1200GS wheel ABS sensor ring torque spec.

Just picked up a set of spoked rims. I'll now have 80/20's on my cast rims, and 40/60's on my spoked, making for quick changes. I've already mounted the Shinko 804 and 805, but need an ABS sensor ring for the front. I found one (correct BMW part #) on eBay, so it should arrive soon. When I look at the torque specs for attaching the rotor the rim, it indicates that the screws should be replaced, and not re-used. At 24nm are the screws really being stressed enough that they need replacement, or is that just BMW's lawyers talking? If they need replacing, will the local Ace Hardware's stock suffice? Would you use thread locker on these? Thanks

I cleaned mine up, which might take too long for a dealership mechanic to do. Re-installed with fresh blue thread locker, none have loosened and I've had no other problems with the screws.

New bolts come with thread locker already applied, which I think is the only reason BMW calls for replacement. They certainly would not do it for extra profit, would they?
