IKON, as good as KONI?

braddog

Minnesota Nice!
Hello All,

I supposed it's a little late to ask this question since I already ordered and installed a set of IKON adjustable shocks on my R100RS.

The bottom line is that the original BMW shocks were still on this machine when I bought it last year, and at least 2 friends of mine that either currently or in the past have owned R100RS's encouraged me to update the rear suspension.

KONI no longer makes motorcycle shocks, but a company from Australia aptly named IKON is supposedly carrying on the tradition. They even retained the same part number (7610-1298).
They're available via Eurotech Motosports, but I ordered mine directly from Bob's BMW.

I installed them yesterday, and the difference is very noticeable, and the overall ride and handling is improved.

Does anyone else have any experience with IKON? Do you feel that they are in fact as good as KONI's? Are they a good enough clone?
