Bay area tires?

the Wizard of Oz
Coming to visit friends in Cupertino early Aug. I wish I could put at least another 2500 mi on my rear tire (that'd be Chgo to Cupertino) before I trade it out. Only about 5k as of 7/8, but I'm not sure I can really get all the way there and back. And if I put another 1000 before I leave IL...well, you get it.

I have a week in the San J/ Cupertino area before I head to L.A., back to Nor Cal, ID, Montana, and home. My buddy works fairly near the Mountain View dealership and I thought I'd give them a call, but I wonder if anyone out that way has another better suggestion as to who'd be likely to able to accommodate me.

Thanx.
