The first week . . . . S1000RR
This is an amazing m/c. Easy to drive, very responsive and it is good looking. Several people stopped me and asked about it. Many "thumbs up." It is very agile. I drove the 150 miles home and experimented with settings. I started with rain and then went to sport and then race. Sport is much easier on me. The throttle is so responsive in race that if the throttle rolls while going over a bump you could be doing a wheelie.
The brakes are amazing and the cornering is spectacular. I got about 135 miles out of the first tank with a 1 gallon reserve.
Riding position is high but it is a more comfortable seat than I expected. No monkey butt. I found that the grips are very hard and small. I have medium to large hands so I will look for some padded grip covers. My wrists and neck were sore after four hours. I hope to develop those muscles.
This is a great m/c for earning "performance awards" and I can see a radar detector in my future. Any recommendations?
Anyway, thanks for all of the PMs and interest. I don't think I'll drive it to Bloomsburg but I'll have stories to tell.
