Choke/Enrichment cable

TIGINBNA

Coming to your area soon
Hello all,

I need some help finding anything about fixing a choke/enrichment cable on a 99 f650. There does not seem to be many articles about this, I have looked on chain gang and in all the sites I could find and have not found much.

I/we have determined it is in the cable, not in the hand lever.

How hard is the cable to replace?
Do we have to remove the tank?
Where can we get the new cable? We have not been able to find it online.
Are there any special tools needed?

Thanks

Tig

WOW!!! No one has any ideas at all about this. Not even a smarmy "look on another website" comment? Nothing!!! At all? Really?

Thanks for the reply, however, I have looked all over the listed site (FAQ.F650.com) and I only find one small listing for the choke/enrichment cable and it states that the problem might be screws that are too tight. Since I have had the whole assembly off the bike and in my hands I am discounting that. I also find no videos either discussing or showing my problem. If you would be so kind to link directly to that page I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Tig

Hi Railbender, thanks for the reply, I still have my initial problem though. I find the link to the DVD's and videos but nowhere that I can find is there a link, or even a reference to the specific problem I am having. Is it hidden in the fuel spec.s, or in the carbourator or somewhere else that I am apparently too dumb to find?

Thanks again
