I wish to use my NavIII and my cell (iPhone) via bluetooth. And while I'm not on a call, play music via the iPhone. Any suggestions on how to get that compatibility?

Thanks,
TEDean

I have the 2820 and its pretty close to the NavIII, as far as getting the bluetooth cell connection you are goinf to have "pair" the devices. This is done via the gps using the on screen prompts once the gps discoveres your phone you will be asked to enter in a code on your phone, usually its 1234, to complete the "pairing" process.

As far as getting music piped through the gps I suspect you have an audio input on the gps that you can plug in to.

The last step is getting the gps to communincate with your headset in your helmet. I do this via bluetooth with the Nolan N102 helemt with intergrated bluetooth. You can also hard wire from the gps to your helmet headset to pick up the audio.

You may want to check out www.autocomamerica.com for another comm device that will do what you need (plus more).

Not sure if this helps...

Yes, it helps. Thanks. I successfully connected the iPhone to the NavIII and have a bluetooth ear set )which will not fit in my helmet. It's the music I wanted to get back.

You said the jack on the mounting cradle is for sound input? I cannot find much documentation on it.

I have a Arai helmet that I want to retrofit with speakers and a mic. I will check out autocom.

Thanks again,
TEDean
