The group I ride with just did a three day ride from Frederick MD up into New York.
We left Frederick on Friday morning, wonderful temperature, and wandered up 15 into Pennsylvania. Riding through PA we hit the secondary roads through the Appalachans and made the most of the twisties.
In the group were 6 BMWs 2 Harleys, and one each Goldwing and Virago. The gentleman who set up the route did a superb job with respect to finding the most entertaining roads, and the ride leader set a quick but reasonably safe pace through the back country.
In NY we stopped at Corning for the night for fun and food.
When we left on Saturday morning we wandered off to a beautiful waterfall about 100 miles down the road. We stopped briefly for lunch, then managed to find a winery in the afternoon. Most of us tasted one or two glasses (and I DO mean tasted; the samples were very small and no on was in danger of inebriation) and some of us had some of the fruit from the orchard on the premises. Back on the highway we meandered offf to Wilkes-Barre in Pennsylvania for the night. In the morning some of us split off to go our seperate ways after making plans to get together again.
We all had a fabulous time, the scenery was wonderful, the company was superb, and no one could have asked for nicer weather.
