One easy way to post is to use the digital setting on you camera for email sizing. If your digital camera offers this feature. I do not know if all or most do, as I have to date only owned one camera and it does have this feature. You can post without using an outside source such as Smugbug or Photobucket. This may have been discussed already. Irfanview is okay but the photos come out so small, and it is tedious to use.
I'm not sure if you're saying you should shoot in a smaller size?
I recommend you always shoot in the largest size/quality your camera can take, you can always crop and size down but never the other way! I, of course, learned this lesson the hard way.
You are correct Greg. And I too agree with Gail. I do not use the VGA feature all the time but find it useful. Many digital point-and-shoot cameras have a feature to downsize photos for "email". Every implementation of this feature I've seen preserves the original (and I agree with Gail - shoot the highest resolution you can), and creates a new smaller file.
You may have to resize to post a larger photo. Actually downsize so you are allowed to post larger, it depends on the stream you're using such as Photobucket or?That was the max it would let me upload,??? Try again, Nemiah Valley
