Navigation cradle power loss

2019 BMW 1250RT Navigation cradle power loss

2019 BMW 1250RT

Power to Garmin GPS loss after starting. With the GPS installed in the mount cradle and the ignition turned on there is the power to the GPS, but as soon as the bike is started the power to the cradle goes off. I tested the GPS on another motorcycle and there is no problem, works as intended. Also checked with GS-911, and no faults were present.

I plan to check the two cable connectors next time I strip the bike down to change the air filter, but if I have to replace the cradle (long delivery time) it would be nice to know if this is a common problem and could order one to have available when the time comes.

Question: Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks,

Anything connected to the "powerlet" accessory sockets? Those are on the same circuit as the GPS.

N/A I have a USB weatherproof outlet connected there, I'll disconnect it. and update the post.N/A
Thanks

I checked the connection there is nothing connected to the powerlet, the USB is connected to a HEXcan output.

I disconnected the HEXcan from the battery and tested again, but the problem still persists nothing else non-stock is connected to the system.

It was a year ago I installed the USB outlet, memory's not what it use to be.
