fellow BMW enthusiasts,
i am headed out for a leisurely trip from austin to savannah, and back. my goal is to eat barbecue for EVERY meal while i'm on the bike. i need your help finding good place along the way.
i will be mixing up the riding as i go. some of it is LD Rider-esque slab, and some of it is carefree screwing around on two lane country roads.
but all of it needs to be barbecue.
that's where you come in. i need you to help me find great barbecue places between these two locations. personal recommendations and photos of the food from past visits are awarded extra credit. places that are reached via scenic roads are eligible for hall of fame status.
i am not picky - i like fancy high end places. i like medium sized meat markets where people go after church on sunday. i like small, dirty, restaurants that as i roll up into their parking lots (ideally it's gravel with tons of ruts, pickup trucks, and dogs laying around) and when i take a whiff of the air coming out of their smokers, i salivate profusely. my fellow southerners know what i'm talking about. heck, i'm salivating just *thinking* about the places you guys are going to recommend.
here are a few examples of other delicious meals i've had in the past, to get your taste buds and neurons firing.
