Bus trip to Nashville?

Just looked at the map. 4 hours away! I'm out.

Check your parameters on your mapping software. According to Google maps, downtown Lebanon to Downtown Nashville is about 35 minutes by auto, 1 hr,15 minutes by public transportation (didn't know there was any public trasnportation on this route).

Wow, is this thread confusing!!!

1st rally we were loaded into very nice motorcoach, driven to Nashville, short tour, then dropped off on Broadway near Cumberland River to listen to bands , eat, or just walk around. didn't need to worry about traffic, bikes or gear, nice way to see a little of Nashville.

The title of this thread - "Bus Trip to Nashville" - reads like the title for a cheap TV thriller, or maybe a mediocre country song. :)

Those of us who would rather ride a low cost group bus instead of a pricey UberLyft. :)
At $300ish an hour to rent a coach, it's gonna need to be full to save you much money. If they take you for 5 or 6 hours, we're at $1500+ divided by however many people are on the bus, typically about 40 people. So you're in for about $40 a head and every head gets charged. If you decide to go home early or stay later, that's off the table.

A Lyft is about $45 each way and you can carry two or three folks, come and go as you please. A Lyft with three people in it would cut the cost to about $30/head round trip before any gratuity.

I used to coordinate a bus trip from Boston to NYC every year and even back in the 90s, it was about $45/head to get people there and back. I wouldn't rule out putting three people in a Lyft/Uber as being more flexible for about the same expenditure. It breaks the "per head" model a bus will require and converts it to "per load", which might very well be a lot cheaper.
