Mid-South ride, eat, and meet

These guy’s covered American Rock and Roll from the 50’s up through more current hits from Bruno Mars. Leo got up and started rocking to the beat. Smiling at me, they’re good. Yep, that’s an understatement.
 
I was on the back side of the bandstand meeting and talking with the band members. The drummer had recently broke his right leg and had a fitted cast. He used that leg to beat the bass drum. He had assembled a mechanism to beat the drum with his left foot. Pretty ingenious. If U look close, U can see it.

That's my bike! I want to say "thank you" to Barry for the paper map and awesome road suggestions. We had a fabulous ride up to Eureka Springs and on to Oklahoma city. My passenger went back home from there, and I carried on to Prudhoe Bay and back to SW Florida. 14,000 miles. It was awesome.

Wow! Glad to hear the trip has been safely completed. I could not remember the details of our short meet up. U had the trip of a life time. Two thumbs up.
 
Drove over to Tops BBQ in Marion, Ar. For lunch; Saw this beauty in the parking lot.

During lunch found out he was an MOA
member. Discussing Batesville, I told him I was the class of ‘71. He said he was the class of ‘77. Good to know that Batesville has at least one BMW rider and MOA member.

Almost Thanksgiving, but still pretty much green here in the Mid-South. But, fixxen to change to the color of fall. The general weather here for this time of year is overcast skies, damp, cool to cold. The shorter daylight hours; is kinda depressing. Even a ride over across the river to ShakeRag means I depart the Rag around 3 o’clock and by the time I get back home it’s dark. Oh, well; spring will be here before U know it.

Perfect weather for Christmas Eve. Mid 50’s, pleasant sunshine. Just a slight wind, perfect for flying the flags. Great for a pre Christmas bike ride. If we’re not going to have snow for Christmas, this is as good as it gets.

Similar to the pre Christmas weather here in Birmingham, AL Managed to take the RT our for a short ride this afternoon. Felt great!
