99 R1100RT no breather tube over alternator belt

First time replacing my alternator belt and noticed there was no breather tube. I’d seen said tube watching Chris Harris’ useful YouTube demo. Parts diagram notes “to 12/97.” Would the collective confirm that this part shouldn’t be there?

I cannot confirm nor deny it should be there but I will say my '00 RT doesn't have it either; however, my '95 GS does. I've wondered the same thing too... Hopefully someone will come along with an answer.

Cheers!

Yes, they changed the breather system for the later years. The bikes with the double rear main seals do not have the front breather.
