Can kickstand switch be disassembled/ cleaned?

My switch is slowly deteriorating, lazy N light etc. I’ve never taken one of these apart before. Can it be cleaned up and reinstalled?

There are a couple of mods to the sidestand operation, that lets the bike be started with the stand down. They seem mostly about adding things or bypassing things for this result. But maybe there's some discussions of the switch that gives you some ideas of how to get at it and service it.

My mechanic unplugged a connector up near the rox risers that shut the switch off. He said the other way at the switch is a workaround

No, they are not linked at all. Rebuilding or repairing the side stand switch will not fix the lazy Neutral light.

For awhile, BMW did not have replacement switches. A mechanic rewired mine in 2016. It has been working fine since the rewiring.

If you have a lazy neutral light, you probably have some oil inside the switch at the bottom rear of the transmission. If you get ambitious and replace that switch (I don't know if they're repairable - GSAddict chime in?), do the oil seal just inboard of it too.
